RCI Points® subscribing members will now experience added convenience and ease of use when they search online for exchange vacations—thanks to another technology innovation from RCI. These user-friendly, intuitive enhancements are designed to simplify and streamline the search process for RCI Points members so they can focus on finding the resort that best meets their needs.
RCI Points members have always been able to select vacations from available RCI Points and RCI® Weeks affiliated resorts. To find all the vacations available to them, however, Points members had to perform two separate searches, one for available Points resorts and one for available Weeks resorts. Now that RCI.com has been enhanced, Points members will be able not only to conduct one search for all available RCI affiliated resorts, but also to enjoy additional enhancements that will further simplify their online searches.
RCI® continues to innovate the online search process for our subscribing members. Once again, we are adding tools to make choosing a vacation easier and faster. Using state of the art technologies, RCI.com will now recommend vacation choices to subscribing members based on what they are searching for at that moment in time. Looking for a beach vacation in a two bedroom unit? Our search engine will comb our entire available inventory and serve up tailored vacation choices based on the member’s vacationing activity and immediate vacation interest. Because your vacation means the world to us.
RCI’s new resort information system better serves both affiliated resorts and subscribing members.
RCI® subscribing members, like savvy travelers in general, have expressed the desire to have access to robust multimedia content, including photographs, floor plans, videos, detailed information about resort and unit amenities, information about local activities and experiences and more.
To meet these expectations, RCI has invested millions of dollars in enhanced technology to gather and present detailed content about every RCI affiliated resort. Our new resort information system acts as a content-management tool to store, maintain and present detailed affiliated resort information across all user channels.
Marketing statistics show that RCI subscribing members are four times more likely to confirm resorts featuring five or more photographs than those with none. This information affirms that a resort with robust online content appeals more to subscribing members—and the more that RCI can help present affiliated resorts in the most positive light, the better the potential for increased exchanges.
RCI® eSchool supports the business objectives of affiliated resorts
“The economic downturn forced many resorts to cut operational spending,” says Fiona Downing, senior vice president of development and operations at RCI. “Many of our affiliates told us they had cut their training resources as a result and were looking for cost-effective training solutions during these challenging times, when staff training is more important than ever.”
To meet the needs of our affiliates, RCI has developed—in cooperation with the Levitin Group and ePercipio—the RCI® eSchool platform, a free online learning network, exclusive to RCI affiliated resorts.
Training can transform good performers into great performers and keep great performers at their very best, driving both cost and revenue efficiencies. E-learning offers a more cost-effective, convenient and efficient alternative to in-person training. Content is always available and can be updated to remain current with the needs of the business environment.
