Inbound tourism from the UK and Ireland to Oman grew by 4.4% and 3.6% respectively in 2014 to a total of over 147,000, as tourists have been enchanted by the country’s diverse landscapes offering something for all types of holidaymaker.
Oman’s tourist industry has welcomed the news, claiming visitors were travelling to experience a country that evokes the true spirit of Arabia, where centuries’ old traditions meets five-star contemporary luxury. It also extolled the virtues of the country’s wealth of natural attractions, fascinating culture and warm, welcoming people.
