What is Timeshare?

Timeshare, also known as vacation ownership, is where you buy the right of ownership or the right to use a specific period of time, normally a week or more, at a resort property. You can either purchase at a fixed time of year at a certain resort to suit your personal needs or you may wish to purchase “points” which can give you additional flexibility on your vacation.

Vacation ownership resorts provide larger accommodations than typical hotels, delivering the ultimate vacation experience. The spectrum of vacation ownership ranges from timeshare resorts which typically offer a one week vacation, to fractional and private residence clubs which provide longer accommodation periods, and condo-hotels, which allow the owner more usage and a share of the rental revenue.
