President and Chief Executive Officer Wyndham Exchange and Rentals
Geoff Ballotti is president and chief executive officer of Wyndham Exchange and Rentals, a subsidiary of Wyndham Worldwide Corporation and the global leader in vacation exchange and the European leader in vacation rentals with exclusive access for specified periods to more than 80,000 vacation properties around the world.
As head of Wyndham Exchange and Rentals, Ballotti oversees a network of renowned accommodation brands around the world as well as more than 7,000 associates working in 60 offices in 33 countries. Prior to his appointment to Wyndham Exchange and Rentals in March of 2008, Ballotti was president of the North America division of Starwood Hotels and Resorts where he led a portfolio of 450 hotels with 65,000 associates and system-wide revenues in excess of $10 billion. During his 19 years with Starwood, he served in various roles including real estate development, call center and travel distribution management, marketing, sales, and regional multi-brand hotel operations. Ballotti also brings international and global experience to Wyndham Exchange and Rentals, having led operations for Starwood in Europe. He speaks both French and Italian.
Among his achievements, Ballotti drove a number of initiatives to improve sales and marketing capabilities with a focus on significantly improving Starwood’s sales culture and operational accountability. He helped raise the profile of revenue management, gain leadership in the emerging CRM and online marketing areas, and launch a highly successful and innovative Six Sigma program focused on best practice process improvement. All of these initiatives helped drive industry-leading top and bottom line performance for Starwood.
Before entering the hospitality industry, Ballotti earned a bachelor’s degree from the University at Colby College and a master’s degree from Harvard. He also worked for the Bank of New England in corporate and commercial real estate finance.
